Vision
College of Sciences seeks to establish a distinguished scientific base for basic sciences by putting plans, preparing academic programs, and providing advanced requirements and technologies that meet the requirements of international academic standards. This will enable graduates to compete in the job market and keep pace with the remarkable developments in scientific and technical research. Furthermore, it seeks to spread the spirit of creativity and innovation in the field of basic sciences, openness to the demands of society, and meeting its needs. This will create a distinguished personality capable of meeting the requirements of academic accreditation.
Mission
The College of Sciences' mission is to advance the college's level by providing its best to achieve both speed and accuracy of its tasks, and by offering the best educational services to students at various levels. These include advanced academic programs capable of providing society with scientific competencies and specialized staff trained in modern scientific technologies, qualified to compete in the labor market, and conducting scientific research and studies to build a technical research base, which is a requirement for advancing society, serving it, and solving its problems.
Aims
1. Preparing graduates capable of addressing the demands of scientific research by implementing plans and programs in various basic sciences that are in line with international standards, and employing a method of continuous improvement of these plans and programs to continually improve the quality of graduates capable of sustainably competing in the labor market.
2. Providing high-quality educational services in basic science specialties that meet the needs of society and the labor market by adhering to a distinguished academic standard and achieving a high level of trust in the college's graduates through the use of advanced educational methods.
3. Conducting and publishing scientific research and studies in various fields, strengthening ties and exchanging expertise with scientific and productive institutions inside and outside Iraq, building bridges of cooperation in various research fields, and opening up to advanced research schools to prepare researchers with a distinguished applied mindset capable of producing modern technology.
4. Accurately identifying the real needs of society and making them a starting point for successful and distinguished research. Providing societies with advanced scientific and intellectual leaders capable of dealing with scientific changes and empowered to assume responsibility by strengthening students' analytical abilities, enhancing their communication and learning skills, and developing a spirit of teamwork.
5- Contributing to the spread of scientific culture in various fields in line with the development of modern sciences by providing scientific and technical services and consultations to institutions and organizations, holding conferences and seminars, and delivering scientific lectures.
Graduate Description
A graduate of the College of Sciences is characterized by having extensive knowledge in their field of specialization (such as physics, chemistry, biology, forensic science, etc.), in addition to analytical and problem-solving skills, research, and communication abilities. Graduates have the ability to work in various sectors, whether in scientific research, industry, education, or healthcare. They are also characterized by their ability to think critically, learn continuously, and adapt to rapid developments in various scientific fields.
