The Bologna process

In response to the invitation of the Office of the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs and in cooperation with the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, the Director of Quality Assurance at our university, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nada Sami Nasser, and the head of the University Database Division, Asst. Lect. Nour Naeem, participated in the specialized in-person training course for the Bologna Process delivered by the international expert and consultant Dr. Burak. .

     The session, which was held at the University of Baghdad - Al-Hakim Hall, discussed the importance of the Bologna system for Iraqi universities. It is a European system approved by the most prestigious international universities, and that by implementing this system, Iraqi universities will take great future steps for the Iraqi higher education system, as they will be in the ranks of international universities that follow this system. Moreover, the quality system was discussed in managing this system at the Iraqi universities, and the method of adopting the highest levels of quality in order to make this system successful. Finally, the third day’s lecture, at Bilad Alrafidain University College in Diyala, focused on implementing this system and the method of calculating grades as well as units in it.
