The speaker explained that invoking historical figures represents a key element and aspect of heritage. The technique of invoking heritage figures serves as an expressive medium utilized by contemporary poets to modernize the structure of the Arabic poem, aiming to articulate their views of the world and universe, and to express the suffering and crises experienced by the Arab nation. This highlights the dilemmas facing the contemporary Arab individual. For the poet, these figures are not merely mentioned or reported on; rather, they function as historical witnesses to the nation's reality and the events it has endured.
