Based on the large importance of the population census and its role in supporting future decision-making and planning economic and social development, and in preparation for this experience taking place in the country on Wednesday and Thursday, the 18th and 19th of this month, our university's colleges (Law, Health and Medical Technologies, Education, and Technical Engineering) held educational seminars on the importance of the general population census.
The seminars emphasized the importance of the population census in the political, economic, and social path of the country, as it provides a wealth of data including population size, spatial distribution, and age and gender structure, in addition to living conditions and other vital socioeconomic characteristics. They also highlighted the importance of using demographic statistics to achieve a more efficient distribution of government resources, particularly in the fields of education and health, as well as their role in enhancing academic research and market studies, and in guiding development plans and effectively distributing resources to contribute to achieving a better future on both the economic and social levels.
