To enhance the principle of cooperation between our university, official institutions and civil society, and in implementation of the curriculum approved by the university presidency, the Faculty of Law, in cooperation with the Immigration and Displacement Department in the governorate, and the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division, held a scientific and educational seminar for first-stage students - morning studies entitled (The dangers of illegal immigration and its negative consequences), at exactly eleven o'clock on Tuesday, 24/12/2024, in which the following participated:

1- Lect. Dr. Basim Hassan Al-Hassani - Chairman.

2- Engineer Maan Asoud Abdul - from the Immigration Affairs Department at the Ministry of Immigration and Displacement - Lecturer.

3- Ms. Nour Hussein Abdul Amir - Head of the Liaison and Communication Division at the Immigration Affairs Department at the Ministry - Rapporteur.

The symposium addressed the fact that illegal immigration may seem to some as an option to achieve ambitions, but it involves serious risks, including health and humanitarian risks, as migrants face harsh conditions, in addition to be exploited by smuggling networks. In addition, the laws of receiving countries often lead to the prosecution and detention of illegal immigrants, which threatens their stability and safety, stressing that there are psychological, social and humanitarian effects of illegal immigration on illegal immigrants through dimensions of (alienation, frustration, feelings of inferiority, anxiety and tension, addiction, repression, psychosomatic disorders, difficulties in adaptation and integration and feelings of discrimination).
