In implementation of the curriculum prepared by our university on the occasion of the Week Against Violent Extremism Conducive to Terrorism, the College of Law—in cooperation with the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education, the Human Rights Division, and the Psychological and Educational Guidance Division—organized an educational workshop titled Spotlight on the Anti-Terrorism Law at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The lecture was delivered by the Assistant Dean of the College of Law, Lecturer Dr. Younis Ajeel Shuail.
The symposium reviewed the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2005, which stipulates the prosecution of anyone who commits a criminal act—whether performed by an individual or an organized group—targeting an individual, a group of individuals, groups, or formal or informal institutions, causing damage to public or private property with the intent to disrupt security, stability, or national unity, instill terror, fear, and panic among people, or provoke chaos in pursuit of terrorist objectives.
