Within the framework of cooperation between Iraqi universities, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at our university, Prof. Dr. Haider Hassan Shatawi, participated in the membership of the PhD discussion committee entitled (The Legal Organization of the Opinion Legislature in Iraqi Law: A Comparative Study)
The thesis dealt with the issue of the opinion committee in the ministry or the entity not associated with a ministry, in terms of its membership and terms of reference, as well as its role in monitoring the application of laws, regulations, and instructions.
On the other hand, the researcher dealt with the oversight of the Council of Ministers on the work of the opinion legislature and the oversight of the concerned independent legislatures. The judiciary was highlighted and its role in monitoring the opinion legislature was explained.
In conclusion, the thesis was accepted with a very good grade.
