Prof. Dr. Aqeel Sarhan Al-Ghazi, President of Sawa University, inaugurated the art and calligraphy exhibitions organized by the Department of English at the College of Education on the occasion of Creativity and Innovation Week.
Al-Ghazi also inaugurated the first solo exhibition of student artist Ruqayya Hussein Abdul Wahid, who showcased a collection of distinguished artworks featuring Pop Art and other artistic styles related to painting. Her works reflected her artistic talent and creativity. The event also included exhibitions of calligraphy and design works produced by students and graduates of the department.
The exhibitions were supervised and prepared under the direction of Prof. Dr. Nada Sami Nasser, Dean of the College of Education, Lect. Dr. Ratib Rahim Khudr, Associate Dean, Dr. Mohammed Al-Fuadi, Head of the Department of English, and Asst. Lecturer Nazik Aziz Darwish.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Turki Muftin Al-Aradhi, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Safaa Mustafa Al-Janabi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, along with a large number of the university’s faculty members, staff, and students.
