In implementation of the programme prepared by the College of Education at our university, the Department of Arabic Language, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counselling Unit and the Student Activities Unit, organised a discussion session entitled “Research Completion Rates and the Problems and Challenges Faced by Students” at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, 13 December 2025.
The session was attended by:
-
Assistant Professor Dr Ali Kutaib Dukhn – Chairperson.
-
Lecturer Saimaa Fadhil Al-Dhalimi – Speaker.
-
Assistant Lecturer Karrar Ibrahim Issa – Rapporteur.
The session highlighted the significant challenges students face in completing their research projects. These include a lack of sources and information, difficulties in accessing the research population, limited statistical and financial resources, time constraints, and weaknesses in research skills, including academic writing, analysis, and problem formulation. Common methodological errors were also discussed.
These challenges affect research completion rates and may lead to delays or failure to complete research projects to the required standards.
