In implementation of the program approved by the Deanship of the College of Education at our university, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muslim Shakir Al-Jiyashi, Head of the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education, delivered an educational lecture entitled:
“The Student’s Role in Promoting Social Values.”
The lecture was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026.
Dr. Al-Jiyashi emphasized that the student plays a fundamental role in promoting social values and serves as a key pillar for positive change through adherence to ethical behavior, cooperation and solidarity, and respect for educational regulations.
The student can contribute effectively by embracing the values of citizenship, raising awareness among peers, and participating in volunteer activities that strengthen a sense of belonging and social responsibility both within and beyond the educational community.
The lecture also highlighted the importance of adhering to values such as honesty, integrity, mutual respect, and cleanliness, enabling students to become positive role models for their peers. It further emphasized developing students’ ability to work collectively, participate in curricular and extracurricular activities, and assume social responsibility.
