In line with the principle of cooperation with government institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector, the Industrial Consultancy Office at Sawa University, in cooperation with the Board of Directors of the Al-Muthanna Chamber of Industry, held a scientific seminar entitled “Industry in Al-Muthanna Governorate: Current Situation and Ways to Enhance It” at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026.
The seminar was moderated by Prof. Dr. Ghanim Najib Abbas, Member of the University Board of Trustees and Vice Chairman of the Board, and featured the following speakers:

Prof. Dr. Turki Muftin Al-Aridhi, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs – First Speaker.

Falih Hassan Al-Hitimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber – Second Speaker.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Nada Sami Nasser, Dean of the College of Education – Third Speaker.
The seminar reviewed the industrial situation in the governorate, its current status, and ways to promote and develop the industrial sector. It also highlighted the most prominent governmental and investment projects in the governorate, as well as the steps required to address the high poverty rate affecting the region.
Furthermore, the seminar discussed the most significant small, medium, and large-scale projects that have been implemented, as well as potential future projects, with emphasis on the role of the Chamber of Industry in adopting, supporting, and promoting such initiatives.
