In implementation of the curriculum prepared by our university presidency for Iraqi Anti-Drug Week, and in the presence of the Ministerial Committee, the Dean's Office of the Health and Medical Technologies College—in cooperation with the College of Law and the Department of University Psychological Guidance—organized a scientific seminar titled "Yes to Life, No to Drugs" at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The research papers presented during the seminar covered several key axes, most notably: types of narcotics and psychotropic substances, causes of drug abuse, symptoms, health, economic, social, and psychological impacts, treatment methodologies, and the vital roles played by health, security, academic, and educational institutions, alongside civil society organizations, in combating and mitigating drug abuse.
