Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Mudher Abdullah Al-Dhalimi, and the President of Sawa Private University, Prof. Dr. Aqeel Sarhan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education.
In order to enhance communication and exchange experiences, an online meeting (via Google Meet) was held for the Head of the University Psychological Counseling Unit, Asst. Lect. Zahraa Ali Hamid, with the participation of counseling unit heads from public and private colleges and universities.
The meeting addressed the most prominent problems and challenges facing counseling work in educational institutions, opening the floor for discussion and listening to opinions and suggestions that contribute to developing counseling performance and improving the level of services provided to students.
We attended and actively participated in the meeting, where the importance of psychological counseling as a fundamental element supporting the educational process was emphasized. The need to strengthen cooperation between various academic institutions and adopt more effective mechanisms for documentation and follow-up was also stressed, in addition to activate preventative programs that promote students' mental health. At the conclusion of the meeting, it was emphasized that these meetings should continue due to their positive impact on unifying efforts and developing guidance work at the university level.
