On the occasion of Iraqi Judiciary Day, and in implementation of the program adopted by our university, the Deanship of the College of Law, in cooperation with the Department of Forensic Evidence at the College of Science and the University Psychological Counseling and Student Activities Departments, held a scientific seminar entitled “The Role of the Iraqi Constitutional and National Judiciary in Promoting Justice and Upholding the Law” at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2026.

The seminar addressed the constitutional and national role of the judiciary, in both its ordinary and constitutional branches, in promoting justice and upholding the rule of law, as well as in building a state based on institutions, independence, and integrity.
It also highlighted the importance of safeguarding judicial independence and strengthening the principle of separation of powers, which contributes to reinforcing public confidence in the judicial institution and protecting the constitutional rights of citizens.
