Scientific Workshop Entitled “The Difference Between CT and MRI in the Diagnosis of Brain Tumors”

Under the patronage of Dr. Mudhir Abdullah Al-Dhalimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Aqeel Sarhan, President of Sawa University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Rahim Khudr, Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies,

the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Department of Radiology Techniques, held a scientific workshop entitled “Comparison Between CT and MRI in the Diagnosis of Brain Tumors: A Quick Look.”

The workshop was held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

The workshop addressed the role played by both Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in the detection and diagnosis of brain tumors. It also provided a brief comparison of the structure and components of the two imaging systems, as well as the techniques used by each.

The workshop further highlighted the role of each imaging modality in detecting and diagnosing brain tumors, emphasizing the differences in their applications and their respective contributions to accurate medical diagnosis.
