Under the patronage of Dr. Mudhir Abdullah Al-Dhalimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Aqeel Sarhan, President of Sawa University, and Lect. Dr. Ali Jawad Kadhim, Dean of the College of Engineering Technology,
the College of Engineering Technology held a workshop entitled “Electroencephalography (EEG) Device.”
The workshop provided an overview of the electroencephalography (EEG) device, the different types of brain waves, and the differences between Theta, Gamma, and Beta waves. It also explained the procedure for placing 12 electrodes on the scalp to measure brain-wave activity.
The workshop was highly informative and provided participants with practical knowledge about EEG measurements and the interpretation of different types of brain waves.
The session was chaired by Lect. Dr. Ali Jawad Kadhim, with Asst. Lecturer Hiba Nouri serving as the lecturer and Asst. Lecturer Sajjad Majid as the session rapporteur.
The workshop was held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
