The scientific seminar addressed the concept of organizational structure as the formal framework that defines administrative relationships, the distribution of authorities, and communication channels within a healthcare institution, ensuring clarity of roles and the achievement of objectives efficiently and effectively. The seminar emphasized that a clear organizational structure is a cornerstone for strengthening governance, reducing role conflicts, and improving the quality of healthcare services provided to patients.
The seminar also highlighted the importance of organizational structure specifically in healthcare institutions, given the complex nature of their work, which involves interconnected medical, administrative, financial, and technical aspects. A clear organizational structure contributes to improving coordination among departments, such as emergency departments, laboratories, pharmacy, nursing, and administration, accelerating decision-making, and enhancing patient safety.
