Under the patronage of Dr. Mudhir Abdullah Al-Dhalimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Aqeel Sarhan, President of Sawa University, and Lect. Dr. Ali Jawad Kadhim, Dean of the College of Engineering Technology, the College of Engineering Technology organized a practical training workshop on the DC Shock device.
The workshop was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, with the aim of providing students with practical and direct training on the operation and technical aspects of the device.

The workshop introduced the participants to the DC Shock device and provided practical training on how to handle and operate it from a technical and engineering perspective.
The workshop also explained the medical function of the DC Shock device, which is used to deliver an electrical shock to the heart in certain cases of sudden cardiac arrest or life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias. The participants were introduced to the basic principles of electrical defibrillation and the importance of selecting the appropriate energy level according to the clinical situation. The workshop noted that, depending on the type of defibrillator and the clinical protocol, energy levels may reach up to 360 joules.
