On the occasion of the annual anniversary of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr, who was executed by the former Ba'athist regime, and in implementation of the program prepared by the Deanship of the College of Education at our university, the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education, in cooperation with the Cultural Relations Division, organized a scientific seminar entitled:
“Martyr Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr: His Biography, Intellectual Contributions, and Political Positions.”

The seminar addressed the biography of Martyr Al-Sadr, his scholarly, intellectual, and political journey, and his role as a comprehensive reformist thinker in the fields of jurisprudence, economics, and politics.
The discussions focused on the distinctive dimensions of his personality, his intellectual struggle against deviations, and his enduring works, including “Our Philosophy,” “Our Economics,” and “The Logical Foundations of Induction.” The seminar also highlighted his political positions and his opposition to the domination and policies of the Ba'athist regime.
